Dentists provide a broad range of care for your teeth and gums. An orthodontist is a dentist who has completed additional specialist training focused on the alignment of the teeth and jaws. Dr Nino is a registered specialist orthodontist.
We offer custom 3D-printed metal braces and clear ceramic braces. Both are fixed treatment options individually designed for your teeth. Dr Nino will explain which option may be most suitable for you.
3D-printed braces use digital technology to create custom brackets designed specifically for your teeth. This allows Dr Nino to plan the position of each bracket as part of your individual treatment plan.
Both work to move the teeth into their planned positions. Metal braces use metal brackets, while clear ceramic braces are designed to blend more naturally with the teeth for a less noticeable appearance.
You may experience some tenderness or pressure when your braces are first fitted and after some appointments. This is usually temporary and settles as your mouth adjusts.

There’s no single right age to start orthodontic treatment. For many patients, the teen years are an ideal time because most adult teeth have come through while the jaws are still developing. Your initial consultation at Gullotta Orthodontics gives Dr Nino the opportunity to assess your teeth and bite, discuss any concerns and explain whether orthodontic treatment is recommended.
We’ll start by discussing what’s brought you in and any concerns you have. We’ll then take the records needed to assess your teeth and bite, which may include digital scans, photographs and X-rays. You’ll meet with Dr Nino to discuss his findings and, if treatment is recommended, the options available to you.

You can continue to enjoy a varied diet but you’ll need to avoid foods that are very hard, sticky or chewy, as these can damage your braces. Our team will give you practical advice when your braces are fitted.
Brushing and cleaning between your teeth takes a little more care with braces. We’ll show you how to clean around your brackets and wires so you can keep your teeth and gums healthy throughout treatment.
