Clear Aligner treatment is an almost invisible way to straighten teeth without wires or brackets. The treatment uses a series of custom-made, clear, removable aligners to gradually straighten teeth. Each aligner moves teeth incrementally and is worn for about 7 days, then replaced by the next aligner in the series until the final tooth positions are achieved. Spark clear aligners are a great alternative to Invisalign as Dr Gullotta can achieve the same results in a more comfortable and more clear way.
The results achieved with Spark clear aligners are dependent on compliance by the patient and the skill and expertise of the treating doctor. In the majority of cases, an experienced doctor can achieve excellent results with clear aligners that are comparable to those achieved with braces.
You will need to change aligners every 7 days on average. It is common for each new aligner to feel tight and tender for the first 2 to 3 days.
The length of treatment is dependent on the severity of the problem, the treatment goals, the expertise of the treating doctor and patient compliance. Simple cases could be as little as 3 months. Complex cases could be over 24 month but the average treatment period is 9 to 15 months.
