How much is Orthodontic treatment going to cost me?

  • The type of active appliances used (eg braces, plates, aligners)
  • The type of retainers used (eg none, fixed, removable)

We Make Health Fund Claims Easy

If you have orthodontic cover as part of your extras package, you could be eligible for health fund rebates of up to $2,500. Every health fund and level of cover is different, and we’re here to help you get the most from your benefits.

We process claims on the spot through our HICAPS machine and work with all major health funds, including Bupa and Medibank. If you have an annual limit, we can often help maximise your rebate by structuring a tailored payment plan to suit your needs.

How much is the cost of an initial consultation and what does it include?

Our initial consultation is free. If required, standard orthodontic x rays and digital video scans, are also included.

How much does orthodontic treatment cost?

The cost varies depending on the severity of the problem. We will give you an accurate estimate at the free initial consultation.

Are payment plans available?

Yes. We offer interest free payment plans talk with your treatment coordinator for more information.

Should I take out health insurance with orthodontic cover?

This is a personal decision for you to make, just be aware there is usually a waiting period of 12 months before you can make a claim on orthodontic fees. We’d recommend calling a few Health Funds to find out more information.

Can I claim orthodontics costs through the Child Dental Benefits Scheme (CSDS) or Medicare?

Orthodontic treatment is not covered by the CDBS or Medicare.
