PERSONAL CONSULTATION
Your first consultation with Dr Nino is personal, a chance to ask questions and explore your options.
There are many reasons adults choose to straighten their teeth. Whatever yours, Dr Nino will take the time to understand what you want to change and recommend an approach that’s right for you.
Age shouldn’t stand between you and a smile you love. More adults than ever are straightening their teeth later in life and their reasons are rarely just about looks. For some, it’s confidence, feeling able to smile freely in photos, meetings or social settings. For others, it’s the way their teeth work day to day, an uneven bite, jaw discomfort or teeth that are simply hard to keep clean. Whatever your reason, it’s never too late to start.
If the thought of braces takes you back to bulky brackets and wires, today’s treatment looks very different. Custom 3D-printed braces are designed specifically for your teeth, with both metal and clear ceramic options available.

We know life is busy, so treatment is built to fit around it. Early appointments from 7am mean you can come in before work and remote Dental Monitoring keeps your check-ins to a minimum, so you spend less time in the chair and more time getting on with your day.
When teeth overlap or sit out of line, they're harder to clean and easy to feel self-conscious about. Straightening them is one of the most common reasons adults come to see us.
Noticeable spaces can affect both the look of your smile and how your teeth function. Treatment closes gaps and brings everything into balance.
Overbites, underbites and crossbites can make eating and speaking harder than they should be and they're very treatable at any age.
A bite that's out of alignment can put strain on your jaw, leading to discomfort or recurring headaches. Correcting it can bring real relief.
Teeth naturally move as we get older, and many adults notice changes years after childhood braces. Treatment can bring them back into line.
Misaligned teeth often wear down unevenly or take more force than they should. Straightening helps protect them for the long term.

Not all smile transformations are equal and the difference often comes down to who’s doing them. General dentists can offer orthodontic treatment but orthodontists train for an additional three years beyond dental school, focusing exclusively on tooth movement, jaw alignment and long-term bite health. It’s a meaningful distinction when you’re making a decision that affects your smile for life.
At Gullotta Orthodontics, Dr Nino Gullotta has dedicated his entire career to this specialty. That depth of focus means more precise results, better management of complex cases and a clearer picture of how your treatment will look not just now, but years down the track.
No, a referral is not necessary to see a specialist orthodontist like Dr Gullotta. We do recommend having a general dental check-up before starting treatment though, just to make sure there are no underlying issues like decay or gum disease that need to be addressed first. Your overall dental health is just as important to us as your smile.
Not at all. Many of our patients are adults and there’s no age limit on straightening your teeth. Healthy teeth and gums are really the only requirement. Most people tell us they wish they’d done it sooner.
Most adult treatments sit somewhere between 12 and 24 months, though it depends on what we’re working with. Dr Gullotta will give you a realistic timeframe at your first appointment.
For most people, barely. There’s usually a short settling-in period after you first get fitted but it passes quickly. Clear aligners are removable so they fit around your life easily. With braces, appointments are typically every 6 to 8 weeks and there are a few foods to avoid but nothing most people can’t work around.
Standard braces use one-size-fits-all brackets. LightForce brackets are 3D-printed specifically for your teeth, which means a better fit, fewer appointments and a more comfortable experience from start to finish.
