After completing his dentistry degree at the University of Queensland in 1979, Nino commenced working at the Brisbane Children’s Dental Hospital. During his four years at BCDH he was involved in the dental and orthodontic treatment of many children with cleft palate and other cranio-facial problems. His passion for orthodontics led to a move to Victoria in 1984 to undertake full-time study, research and clinical work in orthodontics at the Melbourne Dental School and the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne after which he commenced private practice as an orthodontist in Southport –where he has remained for the past 24 years.
Nino is a registered specialist with the Dental Board of Queensland and is a member of many professional bodies including the Gold Coast Dental Study Group, the Australian Dental Association, the Australian Society of Orthodontists, the World Federation of Orthodontists and the American Association of Orthodontists. Nino attends a large number of orthodontic seminars and conferences each year, locally and overseas, to keep up to date with the latest technological advances and concepts in orthodontics.
Nino loves treating young children but is equally happy treating teenagers and adults of all ages. He has considerable experience in dealing with children with physical and intellectual disabilities. Nino has 3 children of his own which keep him on his toes and keep him young! Nino not only brings his considerable expertise and professionalism to his work, he also brings his heart and gives his clients the warmth and understanding they deserve.
